Booking terms
The practical details of booking a place at a Solace Space gathering: what happens when you pay, how to move or transfer your place, and what to expect on the night.

Booking and payment
These terms apply when you book a place at an event run by The Solace Space. By booking, you agree to them.
- Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include everything you pay. There are no extra booking fees.
- Payment is taken securely by Stripe when you book. While you’re paying, your places are held for you for 30 minutes.
- Your booking is confirmed once your payment goes through. We’ll show your tickets straight away and email them to you. If the email hasn’t arrived within an hour, check your spam folder, then contact us.
Your tickets
- Every ticket has its own QR code. Show it at the door on your phone or printed out. Each code can only be used once.
- A “ticket for two” admits two people with one QR code.
- If you’ve booked for friends, forward each person the link to their own ticket.
- Please don’t post your ticket or QR code publicly. Whoever scans in first with a code is the one let in.
If you can’t make it
- Tickets are non-refundable. Our gatherings are small, so each place is planned for.
- Moving to another session: if you can’t make it, email us at least 48 hours before the event starts and we’ll move your place to another session of your choice, subject to availability.
- Within 48 hours of the event: we can’t move your place, but you’re welcome to pass your ticket to a friend. Just send them your ticket and let us know their name.
- Exceptional circumstances: if something serious happens, such as a bereavement, illness or emergency, please get in touch. We look at each case personally and may offer a refund or credit at our discretion.
- If you don’t come and haven’t let us know, your place can’t be moved or refunded.
Because our events are leisure services on a specific date, the usual 14-day “cooling-off” period for online purchases doesn’t apply to them. The option to move your place gives you flexibility instead.
If we cancel or change an event
- If we have to cancel, you’ll get a full refund automatically. We’ll email you as soon as we know.
- If we need to make a significant change, such as a new date or venue, we’ll tell you and you can choose a full refund or keep your place.
- Occasionally a guest teacher or part of the programme may change. We’ll always try to let you know in advance.
On the night
- Please arrive on time. Once the session has begun, late arrivals may be asked to wait for a natural pause so that others aren’t disturbed.
- Please don’t attend under the influence of alcohol or drugs. To keep the space safe for everyone, we may ask anyone whose behaviour disturbs others to leave, without a refund.
- Every part of the evening is optional. You can sit instead of lie down, skip anything you’d rather not do, or step out at any time.
- Please look after your own belongings. We can’t be responsible for items lost or damaged at the venue.
Your health and wellbeing
Sound healing and Reiki are complementary practices. They aren’t a substitute for medical or psychological care, and we don’t diagnose or treat any condition.
Please speak to your GP or healthcare professional before booking if you are pregnant, have epilepsy or a seizure disorder, a pacemaker or other implanted device, tinnitus or sensitivity to sound, have recently had surgery, or have a mental health condition you’re unsure about. If you have any access needs or health questions, tell us when you book or email us beforehand, and we’ll do what we can to make the evening work for you.
Photos and filming
We sometimes take photos or film at our gatherings to share on our website and social media. We’ll always say beforehand when this is happening. If you’d rather not appear, just tell us on the night and we’ll make sure you aren’t included.
Private and corporate sessions
Private, group and corporate sessions are agreed individually. Your written proposal sets out the price, what’s included, and any deposit and cancellation terms. Where the proposal differs from these terms, the proposal applies.
Liability and your rights
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or anything else the law doesn’t allow us to exclude. They don’t affect your legal rights as a consumer.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If something goes wrong, please contact us at [email protected] first so we can put it right.
